Description

This course discusses ethics and the application of ethics to healthcare, medicine, and biomedical research. Students learn and apply the methodology used to analyze case studies as individuals and as part of a team. Topics include the role of ethics in healthcare, the moral foundations of the relationship
between healthcare professionals and clients, controversies in health care ethics at the beginning and end of life, and ethics in biomedical research including genetics research and organ transplants. Prerequisite: BIO 120.
