Description
This course will introduce student to the theories of Early Childhood development and learning. Class activities and field experiences will allow students to develop a more in-depth understanding of the role of the Early Childhood Educator, the relationship between theory, and developmentally appropriate
practices and the important role of the family. Readings, discussion, guided classroom observation, and applied activities will also support students in the development of a professional teaching portfolio. Prerequisite: EDU 205.
