Description
This course focuses on the interplay of diverse cultures, lifestyles, and abilities within the context of the family, early childhood education, and the community. Course topics will include theories of family involvement in early childhood education, family-centered practices, and understanding family
diversity. Students will learn evidence-based practices that strengthen collaborative and respectful family/child partnerships through effective use of family and community resources. There is a required field experience. Prerequisite: ECE 312.
