Description
Nature-based preschools and kindergartens offer a unique approach in planning, implementing, and evaluating curriculum for young children. Students will learn the value of play, fostering independence and problem-solving, nature and growth across developmental domains and the balance of indoor
and outdoor experiences through field work. This course will help students interface nature-based curriculum with conventional early childhood and elementary curriculum in literacy, math and science. Students will create lesson plans for both nature-based and conventional curriculums.
Prerequisite: ECE 312.
