Description

This course will explore the intersection of contemporary history, popular culture, and media representation through the lens of South Park, a long-running animated series known for its irreverent satire and critique of societal issues. From political scandals to cultural trends, South Park has been a reflection of its times. By analyzing select episodes, students will develop a deeper understanding of how media can shape and reflect cultural values, ideological debates, and social movements from the 1990s to the present day. Meets General Education Distribution Areas I.C or III.A.
