This course will explore the intersection of contemporary history, popular culture, and media representation through the lens of South Park, a long-running animated series known for its irreverent satire and critique of societal issues. From political scandals to cultural trends, South Park has been a reflection of its times. By analyzing select episodes, students will develop a deeper understanding of how media can shape and reflect cultural values, ideological debates, and social movements from the 1990s to the present day.
