MUS 101 introduces students to important styles and periods of music history, promoting careful listening and appreciation of music for enjoyment and cultural purposes. Occasionally, some sections of the course focus on topics such as American music, musical theatre, or world music. Not open to music majors. Meets General Education Distribution Area IV.A (pre-2025), Artistic Thinking (2025+).
