Description
This course serves as a vehicle for student performances, presentations on music literature, and experiential sessions on topics related to the professional life of a musician. Students in MUS 349 will take a leadership role in the music cohort and develop and demonstrate collaborative performance skills. Additionally, students will articulate and assess the lasting and transferable skills and knowledge acquired through courses in both their major and general education to their chosen profession. Students will refine their roadmap and produce additional portfolio documentation to support their post-graduate plan by identifying mentoring opportunities, seeking internships, contacting employers and graduate schools of interest, and finding appropriate grant and/or fellowship opportunities. May be repeated. Prerequisite: Completion of MUS 249.
