	Description
		
			An astronomy survey course for non-science majors which exposes the student to the fascinating world of astronomy. Students encounter early astronomy and astronomers, become familiar with the nighttime sky, develop the tools of astronomy; and study the solar system, stars, and their evolution, galaxies,
cosmology, and the Big Bang. Three hours of lecture and two hours of lab. Offered every fall semester. Meets General Education Distribution Area II.B (pre-2025), Scientific Thinking; Environmental Connections Focus Area (2025+).
