Description

This course explores the theories, doctrines, statutes, and cases related to the First Amendment guarantees of Freedom of Religion (Separation of Church and State), Speech, and Assembly. This course will help the student increase knowledge and enhance understanding and appreciation of
systemic structures of the judicial process and legal issues and will provide the student with theoretical and practical application of First Amendment Freedoms. The course will facilitate an understanding of how these freedoms work toward establishing a balance between individual and societal rights.
Prerequisite: PLS 110, PLS 210, or PLS 220.
