Description
This course investigates the development of world theatre from the early 19th century to today. Our study will include an investigation of playwrights, actors, audiences, critics, theatre spaces, design, performace, and production practices. Throughout the semseter, theatre history will be linked to larger social, intellectual, political, and cultural developements around the world. Meets General Education Distribution Area III.A.
