Description

This course will examine the 3-circle model of instruction practices in agriculture education: classroom and laboratory instruction, experiential education and leadership development. Students will learn how to incorporate FFA-leadership (Future Farmers of America) training and SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experiences) within the overall model of agriculture education. In addition, the relationship of agriculture education as Career Technical Education (CTE) in high schools will be discussed. As part of this course, students will plan and develop their own SAE, which will then be part of their student teaching experience. After completion of this course, students will enroll in either SCI 494 or 469.
