Description

Students in this class survey the discipline of anthropology, including the subfields of biological anthropology, archaeology, cultural anthropology, and linguistic anthropology. In this class students experientially apply anthropological concepts and information to examine human evolution, subsistence
patterns, language, economy, kinship, gender, cultural change, and other aspects of culture. Meets General Education Distribution Area III.D (pre-2025), Global Awareness; Environmental Connections Focus Area; Global Studies Focus Area (2025+).
