Description

Designed for science majors, lecture and laboratory topics include atomic structure, electronic structure, the periodic table, bonding, molecular structure, nomenclature of molecules, chemical reactions, and stoichiometry. This is the first course of a two-semester sequence. Students enrolled in this class are
expected to have a good understanding of introductory algebra. Three hours of lecture and two hours of lab. Prerequisite: MAT 100 (with a grade of C- or higher) or placement. Offered every fall semester. (Note: this course replaces CHE 103.)
