Description

This course examines communication processes of organizations and the communication that occurs internally. Students study how communication shapes organizational culture, socialization, leadership, decision-making, teamwork, power, and conflict. Emphasis is placed on applying communication theory to real-world organizational contexts, including workplaces, institutions, and nonprofit settings. Students develop practical and analytical skills relevant to professional communication environments.
