Description
The purpose of this course is to introduce the pre-service teacher candidate to the teaching and learning processes associated with comprehensive literacy instruction in the elementary school. Develop- mental stages of learning to read and write, interactive teaching strategies, and instructional methods and materials will be presented. Supervised clinical experiences will provide opportunities for studentsto connect teaching theory with classroom practice. Prerequisite: EDU 305.
