Studies in Genre Literature explores the historical, cultural, and aesthetic origins and influences of major literary genres, with a different focal genre of study every semester taught. Utilizing a blend of classical and contemporary works, students will survey and analyze genre narratives by practicing
literary analysis and the application of varied critical perspectives. May be repeated if the topic changes. Meets General Education Categories Intensive Writing, Literary Thinking (2025+)
