Description
This course introduces students to a global perspective on history by: (1) examining the role of culture in individual and social behavior in various world civilizations; (2) comparing major civilizations as a whole and with regard to key features such as government, economic institutions, and culture; and (3)
describing how the major civilizations have changed and interacted, particularly in the past few centuries. Meets General Education Distribution Area III.A (pre-2025), Historical Thinking and Global Awareness; Information Literacy, Global Studies Focus Areas (2025+).
