Description

Whether or how life has meaning stands as one of the most profound religious, philosophical, and personal questions. Are we adrift in a sea of absurdity, or is a purpose and plan conferred upon our experiences from some external Source? Or as a third option, are we left (however futilely or fruitfully) to create any purpose and meaning for ourselves? We will explore a select array of pivotal writers who have addressed these matters from perspectives of both faith and unfaith. Alongside these thinkers, we will consider playwrights and filmmakers whose works explore and dramatize comparable issues. Meeets Gen Ed Distribution Area IV.A or IV.B.
