Description
This interdisciplinary course explores the complicated intersections between federal, state, and local land management, and the societal goals of environmental conservation and equitable access to the outdoors. Drawing from disciplines of outdoor leadership and criminal justice, students will investigate environmental advocacy, ethical relationships with the outdoors, and the leadership skills necessary to navigate complex environmental and public policy issues. Meets General Education Categories Interdisciplinary Learning, Environmental Awareness, and Ethics, Justice, & Social Action.
