Description

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to data visualization, equipping students with the skills to effectively communicate insights from data. Students will explore fundamental concepts in descriptive statistics, single and multiple regression, logistic regression, and confidence intervals. Through hands-on experience, they will learn to create a variety of visual representations, including histograms, variable comparisons, proportions, relationships between variables, trends, and geospatial data. To master these techniques, students will also gain proficiency in a widely used data visualization software, enabling them to transform complex data into clear, compelling visuals. Meets General Education Distribution Area II.A (pre-2025), Mathematical Thinking (2025+).
