Description

In this course, students will learn and explore themes in basic world mythologies and folk tales, study Jung’s approach to personal dream content in relation to these stories via archetypes, and explore how this content plays out in large musical dramas (operas and musical theater). We will also explore our own dreams for artistic content, recognizing that musical drama has its origins in archetypes we experience in nightly dreams. Meets General Education Category Artistic Thinking.
