Description
A comprehensive overview of campcraft and backpacking, with introductory experiences in paddling and rock climbing. Students learn and practice principles and skills of Leave No Trace environmental ethics. Outdoor skill development, equipment selection & use, hazard recognition and anagement,
and basic group dynamics are introduced. A two night weekend field trip is required. Meets General Education Categories Intragroup Communication and Environmental Awareness: Environmental Connections, Holistic Wellness Focus Area.
