Description
This course is designed to teach the basics of mountain biking and is intended for beginning to intermediate mountain bikers. The curriculum covers riding skills and maneuvers, bike design, personal protective equipment and clothing, bike set up, maintenance and basic repair, trail design and sustainability, group management, and safety and risk management. Environmental stewardship and an appreciation for public and private lands are emphasized throughout the course. Two weekend day trips are required. Meets General Education Distribution Area V (pre-2025), Health and Wellness; Holistic Wellness Focus Area (2025+).
