Description
This course focuses on emergency response in backcountry settings. Topics include Incident command systems; search and rescue clothing and equipment, search philosophy, tactics, and operations. This course focuses on backcountry travel and navigation skills both on and off trial as well as wilderness medicine protocols and practice. One weekend night trip required. Prerequisite: OLE 102 or OLE 157, and First Aid/CPR/AED or higher certification.
