Today, I want to invite you to take a minute to think about love and relationships. When relationships are good, life in general feels pretty good. But when a relationship is out of balance, un-healthy or even “toxic,” it can be super stressful, and that stress can take a toll on your mental health. In some cases, unhealthy love can turn into abusive behaviors. In a TED talk about understanding and practicing the art of healthy relationships, Katie Hood reveals the five signs you might be in an unhealthy relationship -- with a romantic partner, a friend, a family member -- and shares the things you can do every day to love with respect, kindness and joy. Katie believes we can all get better at how we love in any relationship. "While love is an instinct and an emotion, the ability to love better is a skill we can all build and improve on over time".
