The Office of Communications is the official liaison between the College and all news media. We prepare press releases - often including photos - about the the institution and the BC community and disseminate them to members of the media on a regular basis. Depending upon the significance and subject of the news item, releases may be sent to news media locally, regionally, statewide and even nationally. Please reach out to the Office of Communications before sending out a press release so that we may assist with that process.

For interview requests, quotes, or campus visits, please direct media members to contact news@brevard.edu.

Crisis Communications

The Office of Communications has been charged by the president of the College with collecting and conveying all information during a crisis. The purpose of this plan is to outline communications procedures during a crisis, including communications with the College community, with the media and the public. These procedures complement the Campus Emergency Response Plan. In every crisis, the primary goal of the College is to protect the safety and well-being of students, faculty and staff.
